For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 1:20
How many times throughout the Scriptures does God give someone a promise and then failed to keep it? It’s a really easy question to answer, NONE.
Just as assuredly as the sun will rise in the morning we can know that any promise He gives to us he will also answer. He “Is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
In addition, we are told His name is “ Faithful and True.”
When the enemy tries to get in your head and cause you to doubt God’s promises, I urge to remind yourself two simple truths,
- Satan is the “Father of lies”.
- It is IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie.
A few other reassurances –
- Jesus prayed saying, “ Your word is Truth.”
- “The Word was with God and the Word was God.”
- “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us”
- Jesus said, “I am the Way the TRUTH, and the Life.
The Father demonstrated His love towards us in that while we were still sinners Jesus died for us. If He loved us that much, do you not think that He loves us enough to keep every promise that He gives us.
Finally, as Paul prayed for the Philippians,
I always pray with joy, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:4, 6
Thus we can also have confidence that any work He begins in us to make us better, as with every promise, He WILL complete it. So, no matter what struggle or issue that you are facing He will be with you, guide you and support you all the way through it.
So that brings us back to where we began.
“If He said it We Can Believe It!”
